Central Purchasing Office is a subdivision of the Finance Department.

How can I get on the City's Bid List?

There is no formal application to be submitted, however, a letter of interest stating the services and/or products you provide will suffice. Product line cards, company brochures, and other valuable information can be attached to your letter of interest. These letters are retained on file and are reviewed at the time of any applicable bid.

How do I know when the City is putting out a bid for products or services?

We maintain an up-to-date listing of current Request For Proposal (RFP) or Invitation For Bid (IFB) on the Internet. We also advertise all bids on eMaryland Marketplace.  In addition, the City advertises in several publications to include: The Annapolis Capital, Baltimore Sun, The Afro-American, and the Maryland Register Contract Weekly. In addition, construction projects are sent to Dodge Reports and Construction Market Data/Blue Reports.
